Arrive as the crew inflates the balloon, a slow, spectacular process that is worth watching. Light breakfast is served at the base. Your pilot conducts a safety briefing before boarding. The atmosphere at dawn, surrounded by dozens of balloons being prepared for flight, is something most guests describe as the first moment they realise this trip is unlike anything else they have done.

Your hour in the sky is divided into two halves. For the first 30 minutes, your pilot navigates low, sometimes within 1 metre of the rock formations, close enough to feel the fairy chimneys around you. In the second half, you ascend to 700 to 1,000 metres for a full panoramic view across the valleys of Cappadocia. No two flights follow the same path.

We therefore suggest booking your balloon ride on the first available morning of your stay in Cappadocia.
