Later in the morning, you will be picked up again from your hotel to begin your North Cappadocia Highlights Tour (Red Tour).

The first stop is Devrent Valley, known for its unusual rock formations and dreamlike landscape. As you walk through the valley, you will notice natural rock shapes that resemble animals and other imaginative forms.

Next, continue to Paşabağ (Monks Valley), home to some of Cappadocia’s most iconic fairy chimneys, including the famous mushroom-shaped formations.

The tour then continues to Avanos, a town known for its long pottery-making tradition dating back to ancient times. Here, you can see local artisans working with the red clay of the Kızılırmak River, the longest river in Turkey.

A lunch break is included during the Red Tour.

After lunch, continue to Zelve Open Air Museum, where you can explore ancient churches, chapels, and monastic spaces carved into the soft volcanic rock.

The tour later continues with panoramic views over Cappadocia’s dramatic landscape and a visit to Uçhisar Castle, one of the region’s best-known natural landmarks.

In most flights, the experience begins with higher panoramic views across Cappadocia, followed by closer moments near the fairy chimneys as the natural route of the balloon develops. The Classic shared flight is operated with 28 to 32 passengers in the basket and is ideal for travelers looking for the strongest overall balance between value, iconic scenery, and a smooth sunrise experience.

After your reservation is created, you first receive your PNR booking confirmation. We then complete the flight matching based on availability, operational planning, and the best available balloon company and pilot combination for your date.

Once finalized, we send a second confirmation email with your balloon company details and pre-flight information.

The Red Tour is operated as a small group tour with up to 14 people and is designed to introduce guests to some of Cappadocia’s best-known cultural and scenic highlights within a practical daytime itinerary.

Depending on the day’s route and operational structure, the tour may include some of Cappadocia’s most recognized areas around Göreme, Zelve Open Air Museum, Uçhisar, Avanos, Devrent Valley, and Paşabağ (Monks Valley), offering a well-organized way to explore more of the region after the balloon flight.

This combination is ideal for travelers who prefer a full Cappadocia day that begins with sunrise from the air and continues with guided exploration on the ground in a small group setting.

Your exact balloon flight pick-up time is usually shared one day before the tour date, once the final operational planning for the next morning has been completed.

Balloon flights in Cappadocia can only operate when weather conditions and official flight approval are suitable for safe flying.

If the balloon flight is canceled due to weather, the balloon portion is moved to the next available morning whenever possible. If you are unable to join the rescheduled balloon flight, the relevant balloon-flight portion is refunded according to the applicable conditions. The Red Tour portion follows its own operational schedule.
